Definition Of Ecotourism (part 2)

Ecotourism in terms of the market

The word always refers to the eco tourism activities which form support conservation. Ecotourism is growing not only as a concept but also as a tourism product (eg: package tours). Lately, a tour package with the concept of "eco" or "green" became a trend in tourism market. The concept of "back to nature" tend to be chosen by the majority of consumers who begin to care about conservation measures and the desire to participated in the tourist destination visited. Accommodation, tourist attractions and tourism products
others that offer back to nature concept increasingly in demand by the market.

But should the providers of tourism services, tourist destinations and local governments who wish oriented ecotourism should have its own policies and programs related to environmental conservation, local cultures and benefit the local community. Because in many places, tourism products which are sold mostly to pin the word "eco" or "back to nature" just as a label to attract consumers, but not accompanied with the spirit of preserving or involve local communities in tourism product.

Ecotourism activities to be part of the natural attractions and has linkages with cultural and rural tourism. Ecotourism is not even directly related to tourism which is a challenge / adventure or adventure.
The difference, in ecotourism, tourist activity is more focused on the observation and understanding of nature and culture in the areas visited, with the support of conservation activities as well as more major facilities and services provided by local communities.

In nature tourism, tourists enjoy only limited activity on the natural visited without taking into consideration the support of natural and cultural preservation and use of facilities and services of the local community. While on a more challenging tourism / adventure (adventure), highlight the activities undertaken physical activity  challenge to show ego and ability to conquer certain conditions on the nature of visit.
